Labor Day Parade

Join us at the Labor Day Parade & Picnic, on Monday, September 4! We’ll be gathering at the parade location between 9:30-9:45, near Rogers Supply Company at 350 N Walnut St in Champaign. Please note that many downtown streets will be closed by 9:00am, so plan accordingly!

Bring your bikes! Your wagons! Your strollers! Your rollerblades!

The parade begins at 10:00am. We’ll end up at Neil and Washington- an easy walk from West Side Park, our picnic location!

If you don’t want to walk in the parade, head over to the picnic! We’ll have snacks, beverages, and cornhole ready by about 10:00am on the NW corner of West Side Park (near the firefighter memorial).

After the parade, Champaign County’s AFL-CIO will provide games and bouncy castles for kids, as well as hot dogs and drinks for all. We hope to see you there!

Check Your September Paycheck

Per our Collective Bargaining Agreement, returning members of NTFC’s bargaining unit should receive at least a 1.25% merit raise. Only members who were already receiving a higher raise through non-NTFC negotiations are exempt.

If you don’t see at least a 1.25% raise in your September paycheck, contact us immediately! Additionally, as announced in June, the 2022-2023 Campus Salary Program includes merit-based raises of up to 3.5%. Members of NTFC’s bargaining unit are eligible for the full 3.5% merit raise.
